Laboratory techniques in marine ecology (Intern 2016-17)

Currently, I am undertaking an internship in the WernbergLab at the UWA Oceans Institute and School of Plant Biology. Throughout my internship I will be working on a variety of projects assisting the Wernberg team. My goal is to improve my laboratory skills and learn new marine biological technical methods. Furthermore, my objective is to learn about the organization which includes; work environment, the culture of the workplace, quality systems and safety.

Prior to my internship, I have taken three semesters at the CPH-Business Laboratory and Environment school in Denmark which consisted of a mixture between theory and laboratory work. Topics were genetic engineering, protein chemistry and microbiology to name a few.
