I am a Master of Environmental Science student at the University of Western Australia, specialising in marine and coastal management. My research focuses on analysing spatial patterns of biodiversity in the Great Southern Reef (GSR) of Western Australia using geospatial tools. Using diversity indices, I will examine the abundance, richness and equity of fish and marine invertebrates. The aim is to identify biodiversity hotspots and provide a sound basis for the development of effective conservation strategies and policies.
