Laboratory techniques in marine ecology (Intern 2017-18)

Currently, I am undertaking an internship in the WernbergLab at the UWA Oceans Institute and School of Biological Sciences. Throughout my internship I will be working on a variety of projects assisting the Wernberg team. My goal is to improve my laboratory skills and learn new marine biological technical methods. Furthermore, my objective is to learn about the organization which includes; work environment, the culture of the workplace, quality systems and safety.

Prior to my internship, I have taken three semesters at ‘CPH-Business Laboratory and Environment’ in Denmark, with a mixture of theory and laboratory work. This includes the topics microbiology, protein chemistry, synthetic chemistry and genetic engineering.
